"Through the land of maharajas, forts and golden deserts"
Rajasthan — the Land of Kings — is India's most visually dramatic region: a vast landscape of golden desert, majestic forts rising from rocky hills, ornate palaces reflected in shimmering lakes, and a culture of unparalleled color and vibrancy. This 10-day royal circuit takes you through the four most magnificent cities of Rajasthan, each with its own distinct personality — the Pink City of Jaipur, the Blue City of Jodhpur, the Golden City of Jaisalmer, and the City of Lakes, Udaipur. A journey through Rajasthan is a journey into the living legend of India.
Arrive in Jaipur — the Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. Transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure — explore the vibrant bazaars of Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and Tripolia Bazaar. Overnight in Jaipur.
Full day in Jaipur. Amber Fort (sunrise visit), Sheesh Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar (UNESCO), Hawa Mahal — the iconic honeycomb facade of the Palace of Winds. Evening at Nahargarh Fort for panoramic views of the city at sunset. Overnight in Jaipur.
Drive to Jodhpur (6 hours) with stops at Ajmer (Dargah Sharif) and the sacred lake town of Pushkar — home to the world's only Brahma Temple. Arrive Jodhpur by evening. The Blue City comes into view: a breathtaking canvas of indigo-painted houses clustered around the massive Mehrangarh Fort. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Full day exploring Jodhpur. Visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort — rising 122 meters above the city, housing exceptional collections of royal artifacts, paintings and costumes. Jaswant Thada (marble cenotaphs), Umaid Bhawan Palace (exterior), the Clock Tower bazaar, and the ancient Stepwell of Toorji ka Jhalra. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Drive to Jaisalmer (5 hours) through the Thar Desert. En route, stop at the Osian temples — 9th century Brahman and Jain temples in the desert. Arrive Jaisalmer and check into a heritage haveli within or near the living fort. Explore the golden sandstone streets of Jaisalmer Fort at sunset. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Morning: Explore the magnificent havelis of Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli with their extraordinary carved facades. Visit Gadisar Lake, a medieval reservoir with ornate ghats. Afternoon: Drive to Sam Sand Dunes (40 km). Camel safari at sunset through golden dunes. Enjoy folk music and a traditional Rajasthani dinner under the stars at a luxury desert camp. Overnight at Sam Desert Camp (unique experience).
Sunrise over the desert dunes — one of India's most unforgettable sights. Return to Jaisalmer, then drive or take a train to Udaipur (long day transfer). Check in to your heritage hotel by the lake. Evening walk around Pichola Lake. Overnight in Udaipur.
Full day in Udaipur, widely considered the most romantic city in Asia. Visit City Palace — a vast, sprawling complex of courtyards, terraces, towers and hanging gardens overlooking Lake Pichola. Crystal Gallery (extraordinary collection of crystal), Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon ki Bari (Garden of Maidens). Boat ride on Lake Pichola at sunset, passing the famous Jag Niwas (Lake Palace Hotel). Overnight in Udaipur.
