Positive India Journey

"The eternal city where life, death and the divine converge"
Varanasi — also known as Kashi or Benares — is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world and one of the most spiritually potent places on Earth. This deeply immersive 4-day journey takes you into the heart of the city's sacred geography: the winding ghats descending to the Ganges, the ancient temples, the narrow alleys filled with chanting and incense, and the transcendent Ganga Aarti ceremony that has been performed every single evening without interruption for centuries. A journey to Varanasi is a journey into the deepest dimensions of life itself.
Arrive at Varanasi Airport or Railway Station. Transfer to hotel and check-in. After freshening up, begin your Varanasi journey with an afternoon walk through the Old City — the labyrinthine alleys (galis) that lead to the ghats, filled with temples, flower sellers, sadhus and the eternal sounds of bells. In the evening, take a boat to witness the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat — a symphony of fire, chanting, flowers and devotion unlike anything else on Earth. Overnight in Varanasi.
Rise before dawn (4:30 AM) for the most magical experience in Varanasi — a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges. Watch as pilgrims perform their morning rituals, sadhus meditate, and the ancient city slowly awakens in the golden morning light. After breakfast, embark on a guided walk of the principal ghats — Assi Ghat, Tulsi Ghat, Kedar Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat (the ancient cremation ground), and Panchganga Ghat. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple complex and the ancient Annapurna Devi Temple. Evening Aarti again from the boat. Overnight in Varanasi.
After breakfast, drive 10 km to Sarnath — where the Buddha delivered his first discourse to five disciples in the Deer Park, setting in motion the Wheel of Dharma. Visit the Dhamek Stupa (one of the oldest stupas in India), the excavated ruins of ancient monasteries, the Mulagandhakuti Vihara with its superb Kosetsu Nosu murals, and the excellent Sarnath Museum which houses the famous Ashoka Lion Capital — India's national emblem. Return to Varanasi. In the afternoon, visit Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple and Tulsi Manas Temple. Evening: private boat ride at sunset. Overnight in Varanasi.
A final sunrise walk along the ghats — experience the quietest, most contemplative time of the day when Varanasi reveals its most ancient and timeless soul. Visit the famous Banaras Hindu University campus (Asia's largest university) and the Vishwanath Temple within it. After lunch, transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying within you the eternal light of Kashi.
